Tours around Europe

We leave Lithuania early in the morning. We arrive at Bauska* - Latvia's former stategically important city in Latvia, in the XV century the Livonian Order built a huge castle of Bauska, framed with two big towers. In the western part of the castle park you can go to see Musa and Nemunas River Junction. Water from this river junction was known from the old ages, with talks that it has magical powers. Later, we will visit Rundales manor* - baroque & rococo style built Europe's pearl that is often called as the Latvian Versailles. E.J.Biron started building this residence in the XVIII century, and the building was designed by the world famous architect from Italy - F. B. Rastrelli. The owners of the manor changed, the interior changed too but the main objects remain - ceiling and wall decorating, columns decor, sculptures. You will see the complete view once you see the large beautiful park, surrounded by the channel, which is a field for hunting. Moving forward, we will certainly see the remarkable Mezotne manor* - one of the most beautiful classicism style manors in the country. We will take a walk around the Latvia's most famous English style park there. In the evening we will come to Riga, and have an excursion around the capital's old town. After that - a night in the hotel.

Day 2:

Breakfast. Visiting the castle of Riga*. Since Latvia became an independent country, the castle was turned into the residence of the president. After the visit in the castle we will visit another Latvia's pearl - medieval castle Jaunpils. Mystic medieval monk stories and a theatrical tour around the castle. Lunch at the marvelous castle hall* will help you feel the spirit of medieval times. We will visit the last castle of our trip, it is Vecause Castle, situated in the small town of Auca. Above the city there's a 30 metres high Gothic tower. Castle was built in 1842 - 1848, was one of the first English neo-style castles in Latvia. Her owners - the barons Medems. The castle is situated in the cultural and tourism center, has a children and youth art studio. The castle is surrounded by the nineteenth century created picturesque park with ponds, trees and bushes from distant lands, plantations and walking trails. In the evening, we return to Vilnius.
