Sopot - Helio Peninsula - Gdansk - Malbork

Day 1

Leaving early in the morning. The first place we are seeing is Žalgiris battle place - Grunwald. Check out the memorial exposition, museum*. Just after that - going to the Malbork* castle - former Order‘s of the Teutonic Knights residence. Brick Gothic masterpiece known as the fort has three palaces, connected to a common set of defense. Teutonic Order in the capital have been developed by the Baltic and Slavic lands making up plans in the Malbork Castle. During the march, once Duke of Lithuania Kęstutis was imprisoned there. Crusader army regiments rode from there into decisive battle of Tannenberg which ended Lithuanian and Polish allied victory. We will visit the famous Polish seaside resort of Sopot. * A walk on the pier with magnificent scenery of the Baltic Sea. Overnight at the hotel.

 

Day 2

Breakfast. We will visit one of the most unique places - Helio peninsula, surrounded on three sides of the Baltic Sea.
Helio resort is located on the mainland within 34 km., Reached by ship, train or bus. A narrow strip of land connects a number of excellent seaside towns: Jurate, Jastarni, Kuznica, Chalupy and Helium. Helium is the very end of the promontory, and is dominated by beaches. As well as an impressive ship guide - a beacon of Helio, which was built in the XIII century and later rebuilt in 1942 and remains until now. Candid, red-brick building is 40 meters above sea level and can be seen by nearly 17-mile area. Tourists are fascinated by stories of seafarers, from the days when fishing was the main source of subsistence for local populations. In the Fishing Museum we will see the main exhibits in the fisheries. Overnight at the hotel.

 

Day 3

Breakfast. An introduction to one of the most beautiful cities in Poland - Gdansk, where many bridges and medieval buildings, steep roofs, narrow windy streets, Luxury merchants Michigan * Arthur Chambers, the main street of Old Town - Long Bazaar, Town Hall, charming dock - a favorite place for walking, Gold and Green Gates, second largest (after the Cologne Cathedral) and the largest in Europe which was built from bricks in early Gothic style - Virgin Mary‘s Cathedral.
We will visit Gdansk suburb - Olive which is famous for its theme park. A modern fleet form formed from the XVIII century, before modifying it, here the former monastery garden. In the park you can admire the rock gardens, planted since 1920, winter gardens, water cascades, as well as beautiful trees, alley, planted even in the 17th century. It was the East Coast burial place of a princess. The eye will certainly be caught by expressive white sculptures - Xhosa family tomb, and the Baroque pulpit. The most valuable monument of the Department - the organ, as the best organs in Europe. They were built in 1763-1788 Rococo style, and they are made from 7876 different diameter of pipes. Late in the evening we return to Lithuania.
